🛠 2.2.0 – Mods, Resource Packs & New Features

Hey everyone!

This update’s a big one. It includes important fixes, better performance, and a bunch of updated mods for both 1.21.5 and 1.21.8. I am also introducing ScamShield (Beta) — a new safety feature for Hypixel SkyBlock players using SkyBlock Enhanced. Default configs have been updated, too, so everything’s smoother and ready to go right after install.

Performance issues introduced in the 2.0 update should be much better now, though we’re still waiting on a mod update to fully resolve them. Check the Known Issues section for more info.

Thanks to everyone in the Discord who tested, reported bugs, and stayed patient while we worked through this one.

✨ New Features

Added item background selection to the welcome wizard page.
Added two new resource packs to the pack selectable from the Welcome wizard.
Added new commands to reopen or rerun the welcome wizard and access new menus (/packcore help for details).
Introduced ScamShield (Beta):
- Detects potential scam messages in chat locally (no messages are sent anywhere).
- Helps protect players from common Hypixel SkyBlock scams (like fake verification links or /coop adds). When a suspicious message is detected, the mod sends a warning in chat.
- Still in beta — expect false positives and misses. Want to help improve it? Share logs from when you interacted with a scamer. This helps me learn how they talk and write to better detect scammers!

⚙️ Config Update 2.2.0

Fixed broken Firmament config files after the 3.10 update for the mod.
Changed from Firmament to Skyhanni pet HUD
Changed from Skyocean to Skyhanni sack item price list HUD element.
General cleanup of overlapping GUI and HUD entries.

🧠 Known Issue

After the 2.0 update, a mod introduced a memory leak that caused lag and stutters over time. Many users reported performance drops, and after days of testing, some very helpful people from the Discord server and I found the cause to be Zen and Bazaar Utils.

This update should partly fix the issue, as Zen has been updated and the memory leak has been resolved. Bazaar Utils still needs an update to fully fix it, but that should hopefully come soon.

In the meantime, if you experience stutters after playing for a while, try allocating more RAM and restarting the game periodically. Thanks for your patience and for helping test while we wait for the Bazaar Utils fix.

🛠 Troubleshooting & Tips

The first launch after updating may take longer than usual.
If Minecraft freezes while loading, wait a minute before closing — it may recover.
If Modrinth doesn’t show the update, click Refresh on the instance page.
