Experience the nostalgia of C418's unique Minecraft sound once more!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Mojang had continued working with C418? How would he have built upon his iconic and nostalgic soundtrack? Ever since Mojang and C418 parted ways, the community and we ourselves have been wondering: what could have been?
We didn't stop at wondering though, which is why this mod brings 22 custom made soundtrack and music disc songs to the game!
This mod with a total of 22 tracks is the culmination of more than 1 year of work. It is not some slapdash selection of somewhat pixely, royalty free songs from YouTube, but a careful study of the original C418 Soundtrack, with the intention to continue developing new Music for Minecraft while staying true to its roots.
They slot in seamlessly between these timeless classics and recapture the nostalgic quality of the original Volume Alpha, Volume Beta, and Aquatic Update songs by C418.
With 15 in-game tracks and 7 music discs all composed from scratch, a whole new sound experience is added to your world, hopefully giving you another timeless memory when they play in some of these perfect little moments in your world.

Features
- Should be fully compatible with modded biomes, playing appropriately (be sure to report problems with that for the beta version...)
- 22 new songs
- 15 in world tracks
- 7 music discs (obtainable via custom events, and chest loot / villager trades)
Future plans
The mod features a (not yet fully completed) system for distributing songs based on kinds of biome (biome tags), specific biomes, daytime and specific situations such as being in a village, in a cave or underwater. After that system is fully completed, the mod will be able to function as a sort of library for users to more easily and more precisely distribute their custom songs into those categories. As a side effect, modded biomes are also able to play the specific vanilla songs (not just the game playlist) and modded songs based on their distributing parameters.
A music browser is planned, which will have the following features:
- Enable/Disable any song you like
- Add Songs from Creative to Survival
- Presets (examples include turning off "modern" sountracks)
- customize your own presets
Also, note that this is a first release and a lot will be done to remedy any bugs that might occur. We need your cooperation for that though, so please report any crashes, issues and other problems in our dedicated tracker here..
