This mod contains a lightweight mixin fix for [MC-259212] Directional damage tilt is still used for non-directional damage sources after taking damage from a directional damage source
Back before it was broken in 1.3, the damage tilt would properly calculate if the damage source was locational or not. If it wasn't, it would tilt the screen in a rando left/right direction. They fixed MC-26678, but broke the part where non-directional sources tilted left/right. Thats what this mod fixes.
Non-directional sources are damage that doesn't come from a specific direction. This includes fall damage, fire, lava, potion effects, etc. By default, the vanilla game will incorrectly use the last directional damage tilt and apply it to non-directional sources. This makes it tilt in arbitrary directions, and is especially jarring in some directions.
Usage
This mod works completely client sided, which means it will work on every server. Im unsure if this is considered a cheat or not with PVP, consult with server owners and stuff before using.
This mod works with both Fabric and NeoForge. The Fabric release is multi-version compatible and works in 1.20.1+ and beyond. NeoForge supports 1.21.1 and beyond.
This mod is designed to be surgical and unintrusive. If you spot any bugs, please report them on the github page.
