Tired of the endless grind? Wish you had a tireless helper to mine those resources, chop down entire forests, or protect your base from pesky mobs? Say hello to iRobot, the ultimate automation mod that brings intelligent, customizable companions to your Minecraft world!
iRobot introduces sophisticated robots that can be programmed with a variety of tasks, upgraded with powerful modules, and managed through an intuitive interface. Build your own automated workforce and revolutionize the way you play Minecraft!
✨ Core Features
🤖 Meet Your Mini-Robot!
Craft your very own Mini-Robot, a loyal and hardworking companion. Once spawned, it's bound to you and ready to accept your commands. These aren't just mindless drones; they're equipped with an advanced AI that allows them to navigate the world, avoid obstacles, and complete their jobs with incredible efficiency.
📋 The Power of Tasks
Assigning a job is simple with the powerful Task system:
- Define an Area: Use the Task Marker item to select a 3D area in the world, from a massive quarry to a dense forest.
- Create a Task: Take your configured Task Marker to the Task Table block to encode it into a Task Item.
- Assign the Job: Simply give the Task Item to your robot, and it will get to work immediately!
Available Tasks:
- Mining: Clears out entire areas, digging systematically layer by layer.
- Woodcutting: Fells every tree within the designated zone.
- Farming: Harvests mature crops and, with the right module, replants them.
- Protecting: Patrols an area and automatically attacks any hostile mobs it finds.
- Following: Follows you on your adventures, acting as a personal bodyguard.
⚙️ Advanced Modular System
Supercharge your robots with a wide array of upgrade modules. Each robot has slots to install modules that enhance its capabilities:
- Speed Boost Module: Increases movement speed.
- Mining Speed Module: Drastically improves block-breaking speed.
- Attack Damage Module: Turns your robot into a formidable fighter.
- Durability Module: Increases the robot's maximum health.
- Battery Efficiency Module: Reduces energy consumption for all actions.
- Solar Panel Module: Passively recharges the robot's battery in direct sunlight.
- Reforestation Module: Automatically replants saplings after chopping down a tree.
- Crop Replant Module: Replants the seeds of any crops it harvests.
🔋 Energy Management & Logistics
- Batteries: Robots run on energy. Craft Small, Medium, and Large Batteries to power them. The higher the tier, the more energy it can store.
- Robot Station: When a robot's battery runs low, it will intelligently seek out a nearby Robot Station to recharge itself.
- Dropoff Chest: Is your robot's inventory full? No problem! It will find a designated Dropoff Chest to automatically deposit its collected items before resuming its task.
🚀 How to Get Started
- Craft the Basics: Start by crafting a Task Table and a Robot Station.
- Build Your Robot: Craft a Small Battery, a Basic Robot Chassis, and combine them with other components to create the Mini-Robot item.
- Bring it to Life: Right-click on the ground with the Mini-Robot item to spawn your new companion!
- Charge the Battery: Drop your battery on top of a Robot Station to charge it.
- Give it a Job: Right-click your robot to open its GUI. Give it a charged Battery and a Task Item created from the Task Table.
- Watch it Work! Sit back and relax as your robot handles the hard work for you.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
Q: How do I charge the battery?
-
A: Batteries will charge when dropped on top of a Robot Station. They will also charge if they are in a Mini-Robot and the robot is standing on a Robot Station.
-
Q: How do I control my robot?
-
A: You don't directly control it. You assign it a task via a Task Item, and its advanced AI handles the rest. You can manage its inventory, battery, and modules by right-clicking it.
-
Q: My robot stopped working! What's wrong?
-
A: It's most likely either out of energy or its inventory is full. It will automatically try to find a Robot Station to charge or a Dropoff Chest to empty its items. Make sure these blocks are placed within a reasonable distance of its work area.
-
Q: Can robots use tools and wear armor?
-
A: Yes! A robot will intelligently select the best tool from its inventory for the job at hand (e.g., a pickaxe for stone, an axe for wood). You can also equip it with armor for extra protection, which is great for the Protecting task!
-
Q: Is the mod server-friendly?
-
A: Absolutely! iRobot is designed to work seamlessly in multiplayer, so you can collaborate with friends to build a fully automated industrial empire.
