Embellish Chat v2.6.0(Alpha) Changelog

Here are the key changes to check when updating from v2.5.0 to v2.6.0.

1. Bug Fixes

• Fixed Rule Application Order: Addressed an issue where configuration rules were automatically sorted alphabetically, causing unexpected behavior. Rules are now applied strictly in the order they are written in the configuration file.
• Multi-Mention Logic Fix: Resolved an issue where, if two mention types were used and the first mention target was missing, the system incorrectly performed an OR (union) operation instead of an AND (intersection) operation. The logic now correctly handles multi-mention conditions.

2. New Features

• Vanilla Target Selector Support (CUSTOM Mention): In addition to player names or teams, you can now use standard Minecraft target selectors (e.g., @a[distance=..10], @a[tag=hero]) to specify mention targets.
• Enhanced Item Display (HOVER_ITEM): Previously restricted to the Main Hand, you can now specify the Off-Hand or specific inventory slots.
  • -1: Main Hand (Same as before)
  • -2: Off-Hand
  • 0~: Inventory Slot Number
• Style Reset (CLEAR): Added a CLEAR style type that removes all applied colors and text decorations, reverting the text to plain format.

3. Configuration & Management

• Global Mention Notification Setting (mentionBroadcast): Added a setting to globally toggle whether mention notifications (sounds/titles) are sent to targets when a mention occurs.
• Granular Sound Configuration: The mention sound configuration structure has been updated. You can now configure the Sound Category, Volume, and Pitch in detail, rather than just the Sound ID.

4. Performance

• Optimization: The mention cooldown check logic now runs every 5 ticks (0.25 seconds) instead of every tick, slightly reducing server load.

5. Important Notes

• Config File Compatibility: Due to changes in the sound configuration structure, the existing embellish-chat.json file may not be compatible. It is highly recommended to back up your current config and regenerate a new one after updating.
