This release adds benches; a new solid block that's unique from the regular chair type. This is the first release out of beta as I'm happy with the technical state of the pack. Next I will focus on implementing carpet overlays on to tables and benches, and secondly, a few more model variants.
Want to translate T&C assets into your native language? head to this site. I'm looking for German, Spanish, French, Polish, Chinese and Russian translators.
- Added Benches!
- Crafted with 3 slabs and 3 sticks.
- Are immovable and have collision which makes them distinct from regular chairs.
- If placed adjacent to each other, they will connect automatically.
- It can even be placed around corners and edges, wrapping similarly to stairs.
- When sat on them you will face in the path of least resistance.
- More variants of benches may come in the future
- Added new sounds for when you sit on chairs
- Changed
/function tac:give/command naming scheme to match the creative inventory - Fixed placement of custom heads on tables
- Improved visual consistency on the table model when three or more blocks wide.
- Reduced the frequency for locating invalid tables from 20 to 4 times a minute.
- Due to rendering changes in 1.21.11, the breaking texture no longer appears when breaking a table.
- This is a visual change that doesn't affect functionality

- Updated to 1.21.6
- Added language support for Brazilian Portugese (@MeiaQuatru)
- Pack conversions tools can now be accessed with a user interface using the command
/function tac:config - Carved versions of acacia, bamboo, birch and cherry tables are available to preview through commands (
/function tac:give/table_acacia_carved). I'm still working on the others.
If you would like to help with translation please head to this site. I would rather crowdsource than to use AI. Looking for German, Spanish, French, Polish, Chinese or Russian translators.
- Redstone! Chairs can be moved on to pressure places or upwards-facing observers and trigger them. This means you can use chairs for more than just decoration. A puzzle element, maybe?
- For creative, use the
/function tac:give/... command to easily give yourself a table or chair. It autocompletes similar to the /give command. - New translations for Spanish, Vilencian and Vietnamese (TNX: @mikestorm03 & @sieglinde5703). If you would like to contribute, please head over to this link or check the channel on our discord.
- Decorations can be taken off chairs using shears
- Not more than one person can sit on a single chair
- Items in this release may not stack with v0.1 // 0.2 items.
I am currently working on reimplementing carved tables and table decorations for the next release.

- Updated to 1.21.5
- Added smarter conditions for chair tucking
- Added Copper Throne name translation

In this version I have added the Pedestal Table, a new table variant previously in Axel's Tables & Chairs. It now has a significantly improved new model I made! It's also expandable, just like the regular tables.
Placing blocks and items on top of tables has been made significantly easier, and shift-placing tables down now prevents connections.
There is a new Chiseled Pale Oak Chair model made by our good friend Axel!
Conversion tools have been revamped. Type '/function tac:xxx/' and choose between 'upgrade' (upgrades T&C1 into T&C2), 'replace' (replaces furniture with blocks), or 'clear' (clears all furniture). If you're updating from T&C1 make sure to run the '/reload' command as a pop-up may appear to prompt an upgrade. Furniture placed from now on will get counted which will help judge how many were upgraded around you and what more is left. WARNING: Changes are permanent and without warning. Consider making a backup on larger worlds.
Crafting Recipes will unlock by each wood set. Planks and Sticks will unlock the base furniture, Stripped Wood will unlock Neat variants and Stairs will unlock Chiseled variants.
Download the Resource Pack in the additional downloads below.
SCREENSHOTS WANTED! I need good looking screenshots of your tables and chairs. If you would please use the VanillaXBR texture pack when taking them, and send them on the Discord (links on modrinth page). Thanks
Other fixes:
- Chair movement is a lot smarter.
- Many bugs were fixed
