ABOUT THIS PACK
NEVEREND is a visual overhaul for the Ender Dragon and a few of the End-related items in the game!
My main goal here was to give the Dragon a more elegant, sleek design and see how far I could get just changing the model. Turns out, that's pretty far! I couldn't resist doing a few of the other textures and models as well, for cohesion's sake ;]
DISCLAIMER: This pack is still in development - I will add more things and fix issues as time goes on. I have some problems listed down below, for transparency o7
FEATURES
- Completely redesigned Ender Dragon within the constraints of the vanilla model [no animation changes/big elements added]
- Redesigned Dragon Egg, Dragon Head, Dragon's Breath potion, and Elytra
- Dragon Heads come in two varieties: statues and real heads
- Tweaked textures for End Crystals, Endermen, and Purpur pillars
- "Emissive" elements on some textures [no light emission but they appear to glow]
DEPENDENCIES
This resource pack requires the Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) mods to work. It's not compatible with Optifine as a result!
It's not guaranteed it'll work with Fresh Animations, either. I did check and, though it might just be user error on my part, it just defaulted to the vanilla animations instead. Please let me know if it does work, and I'll look into it :]
ISSUES/THINGS TO ADD
- Dragon Heads need to be repositioned when they're on the ground. I'm looking into how blockstates work, but for the moment, they jut out too far forward. Ideally I'd like to have the necks only appear when they're mounted on the wall
- Dragon Heads don't have a breaking overlay
- Animated texture for the Dragon Egg?
- Alt Dragon texture? [see Gallery for concept art]
