The Moonjester Mod
Centered around The Moonjester (also known as The Lucky Star, The Harlequin, or The Performer, depending on where you hail from), this mod rewards curiosity, exploration, and those bold enough to climb the highest peaks or plunder from the deepest of darks.
Craft the Divination Table and seek out the jagged peaks of the world. When the moon is high and the clock strikes midnight, present your offerings.
Items
Speak with the curious Moonjester to obtain items that manipulate the fundamental rules of Minecraft:
-
The Enigma Coin: A gambler's charm. Imbue the tool in your off-hand with powerful luck-based enchantments.
-
The Jester's Bell: A disorienting tool that swaps your position with your target instantly.
-
Lucky Cards: Villagers seem to treat you as a friend with a card that gives you a sense of unearned heroism.
-
Getaway Cards: Disappear from the scene and return straight to your respawn point.
-
The Jester's Mask: Gamble with fate and receive a random status effect.
Or, you can just play with it! The Moonjester is a curious and fascinated creature, and would love to see what's around your world. Try focusing the stars to your Divination Table elsewhere in your world to give it an opportunity to explore.
You may also find relics of a long forgotten past throughout your world.
- Faded Cards: Sparks of magic from lucky ones of the past. Combine them into a Faded Deck for a true boost.
Getting Started
Find a Wandering Trader to purchase your first Lore Scrap. They can't always be fully trusted, though.
Decipher the clues to learn the components of the Divination Table.
Prepare for the Curtain Call.
Author's Notes :)
Author's Notes :)
Hi I'm plourples I made this mod mainly as a lore showcase for my character. It's cryptic and weird and I adore it. I tried to make this feel Vanilla-plus-ish, trying my best to retain things to what Minecraft is on its own, but still representing my character fairly accurately.
This is my first mod, so it isn't perfect but I think it's neat! I tried refining this into an experience worth keeping in a pack. It's only got a few additions and it's super easy to generally ignore the deeper part of the mod if you're not interested, while still getting some additions and benefits just on the surface. Generally, I hope this is an enjoyable mod for you however deep you choose to explore.
Also this hasn't been tested on multiplayer, let me know how it goes!!
