Features
- Implemented opposite hand sway on action.
- Added synced animation randomization with smooth transitions.
- Implemented a map rendering bypass so maps behave the same as vanilla.
- New wiki page for the Item Positioning Tool and RPs compatibility (https://github.com/punchy-mod/punchy-wiki/wiki).
- Reorganized the mod so it keeps all animation pieces together and works across the different launchers.
- Added new polished animations for tools like bows flint and steel brushes lanterns and the axolotl bucket.
- Tweaked the default hand positions so the animated tools look better in game.
- Removed the old compatibility button resource pack matchmaking now happens automatically and many more packs work without manual steps.
Adjustments
- Improved the detection system for item tuning so every RP creator can position items however they want in the players hand.
- Start of the arm exit smoothing implementation.
- Smoothed the click and transition flow so the mod behaves nicely with the vanilla controls.
- Made the arm loops and idle poses finish cleanly without drifting.
- Improved the feel of lanterns axolotl buckets and other held items so their movements match the new animations.
Fixes
- Item placement animation fix.
- Fixed a bug where disabling shaders caused the hand to float and stop following the camera.
- Fixed a bug where using a tools right click interaction caused the transition into idle to play twice.
- Fixed an issue where right clicking a villager or hitting a null target caused the arm to loop endlessly.
- Fixed the Detailed Animations resource pack bug that pushed the players arms downward almost off screen.
- Fixed a bug where using the Punchy preset caused block breaking to continue even after the player stopped midway.
- Fixed a problem where switching or selecting items triggered the select animation but stopped the idle and walk animations from playing.
- Made sure punch/mining animations stop correctly and now use the right motion when hitting blocks.
- Fixed early loops and idle glitches that happened when punching or leaping keeping the hands from getting stuck.
- Corrected offsets so items and creatures like the axolotl animate consistently in both hands.
Notes
All code is still very early stage so these fixes might have introduced new bugs I didnt catch during quick testing. Im counting on you all and as always thanks for the reports and sorry for any issues!
