MineboxAdditions 1.0.9 – Voice and Weather

✨ New Features

Voice Chat System

    Introduced an integrated voice chat with two modes:

        Proximity Chat (up to 48 blocks): Features spatial audio. This is currently in beta, so expect occasional directional audio quirks.

        Private Rooms: Join invite-only voice channels for private conversations.

    Voice chat access is managed via the base command: /mba vc

    Access and adjust your audio device/settings via the default L key.

        ⚠️ Audio input/output is disabled while the settings screen is open.

    📌 Note: You cannot be in both Proximity and Private channels simultaneously.
    📌 Note 2: Modified MineboxAdditions clients could potentially ONLY HEAR Proximity channel users from > 48 blocks, this is due to the fact I took the decision to NOT track Players locations but instead relying on pure client data.

    Voice Chat Privacy Policy

    The voice chat feature in MineboxAdditions transmits voice data through a server only for the purpose of real-time communication between players.
    - No voice data is stored on the server.
    - No recordings are made.
    - Voice data is used only to broadcast audio to other users in your current voice channel (Proximity or Private).
    - No personal information is collected or logged in relation to voice communication.

    I am committed to ensuring your privacy while enabling in-game voice chat.

Weather Overlay

    Rain and Storm countdowns will now be visually indicated on screen when known.

    📌 Note: For now, only English clients can report weather forecast to MineboxAdditions server, but all clients can benefit them.

🛠 Fixes

Improved detection of the user's current chat language.

    Resolved an issue where being outside the global channel caused duplicate messages.
