Welcome to the very first release of Better Fishtanks! We're so excited to share our creation with you. This version lays the foundation for all your future aquatic adventures.

- Fish Tank: A functional, multi-block aquarium to house your fish.
- Aquarist's Table: The central crafting station for all your fish-keeping needs and for processing items.
- Food Containers: Four decorative and functional containers for
Fish Flakes,Dried Kelp,Mini-Shrimp, andPellets. They visually show how full they are! - Fish Foods: Added
Mini-Shrimp(raw and cooked) andPellet Mix. - Fish Bags: A
Fish Bagto safely transport any fish (vanilla or modded) and aRandom Fish Bagwhich gives a surprise vanilla fish. - Fish Eggs: Six tiers of passively produced Fish Eggs (
Common,Uncommon,Rare,Epic,Exotic,Legendary) that can be cracked open in the Aquarist's Table for loot. - Decorations: Added a huge variety of decorative items for your tanks, including small stones, branches, shipwreck parts, and more!
Mobs & Villagers
- Aquarist Villager: A new villager profession. Assign it by placing an Aquarist's Table near an unemployed villager. They will trade for various fish-keeping supplies! (Note: Custom houses do not yet spawn in villages).
Mechanics & Features
- Tank System: Place fish from buckets or fish bags directly into the Fish Tank.
- Feeding System: Manually feed your fish or use the Food Containers for a passive, automated feeding solution.
- Egg Production: Fish Tanks will passively generate Fish Eggs over time.
- Loot System: Use the Aquarist's Table to crack open Fish Eggs for a variety of useful items.
Mod Integration
- JEI (Just Enough Items): Full support! All recipes are viewable.
- Tech Mod Support (Create, etc.): The Fish Tank and Aquarist's Table have inventories that can be accessed by pipes and other automation tools for both items and fluids.
