Changelog
My largest update by far! This one is focused on quality of life polish, finishing some features that were left incomplete, and more crafting balances. Many previous features have been reverted or adjusted. If you've used this pack before, look at the first tab to know for sure
Reverted/Adjusted features
REVERTS
- New enchantments that don't directly replace vanilla enchantments (Flap, Lift, Fire Affinity, Magic Protection) have been removed
- Most mob health and damage changes have been reverted (Creeper and fire interaction, some mobs dealing magic damage, baby undead dealing less attack damage, etc)
- Eating time and effects have been reverted
- Feather falling is once again not exclusive to protection enchantments
- Elytra nerfs have been reverted
- Armor trim changes were reverted (Not by my choice, Mojang changed how they work and now my change is no longer possible)
ADJUSTMENTS
- Increased speed on dirt path blocks lasts longer when not stepping on them (so gaps and sprint jumping works better)
- Horizontal, speed based mace damage now works with all movement, not just flying
- Auto step-up is no longer dependent on armor, but instead just happens when sprinting
Bedrock Parity
- Dirt path blocks drop themselves when using silk touch
- Snow layer blocks drop more snowballs
- Flame (Fire Aspect) can light candles, campfires, and tnt
- Strays spawn in a larger list of cold biomes
Tipped Arrows and Effects
- Tipped arrows can be crafted with Potions and Splash potions, but due to datapack limits, this only allows 1 arrow at a time. However, previously tipped arrows and spectral arrows can also be used
- A couple of Fletcher Villager trades have been replaced with Tipped Arrow trades
- Invisibility granted from potions or tipped arrows will have ambient particles, like beacon effects
- Blindness now effects mobs, removing their follow range, so they won't "see" targets
Enchantments
- Illager's Bane now inflicts Blindness with its change
- Horse and Wolf Armor can now be enchanted with Protection enchantments, Thorns, and Frost Walker. Unbreaking can be used on Wolf Armor
- Looting has a higher chance per level for equipment drops
- Channeling summoning lightning when striking a block is no longer limited to just lightning rods
- Depth Strider is now a single level enchantment, equal to its 3rd level
- Breach now adds only 10% armor effectiveness reduction per level, and now has 5 levels
- Sharpness and Power have only 3 levels, each adding +1 damage
- Bane, Smite, and Impaling have 4 levels, each adding +3 damage
Enchantment table and Anvil costs have been adjusted accordingly
Mobs and Entities
- Gravity in the end has been slightly reduced for all entities
- Undead Horses have been implemented into the game and burn in daylight. Zombie Horses a chance to spawn with zombies on the overworld surface
- Zombies/Zombie Villagers will auto-mount nearby Zombie Horses, and Skeletons/Strays will auto-mount nearby Skeleton Horses or Spiders
- Illusioners have been implemented. They spawn alongside Evokers in Raids and Mansions, and have the same drops (Which is now a 50% chance for a totem). They also have a chance to appear in patrols
- Giants have been adjusted. They now have Zombie AI, with various stat changes. Cannot be converted to Drowned. Still only summonable using commands
- Creepers can spawn as a baby variant, which has a shorter fuse time. Their explosions don't deal damage, but have high knockback
- Bred Pigs and Rabbits will spawn 2 offspring at a time
- Bogged will replace skeletons more often in Swamps
- Ink released from Squids will blind entities, and Glow squid ink will make them glow
- Ravagers take half fall damage
- Adult Sniffer health doubled
- Experience orbs will float above lava and end portals so they do not get removed
- Spectral Arrows admit light level 12 when landed
VEHICLES/MOUNTS
- Happy Ghast speed doubled when being controlled
- Throwing an enderpearl while in a vehicle will teleport the vehicle. If it is thrown before entering a vehicle, only the thrower will teleport. If the passenger leaves before the pearl lands, only the vehicle will teleport
- Holding the Jump key while riding a mob will allow it to glide in the air using the player's Elytra. This consumes durability twice as fast, and fireworks can't be used.
- Angered Endermen in a vehicle will exit to pursue their target
Archaeology
- Sniffers can dig up Turtle Scutes in beaches, Spore Blossoms and Small Drip Leaves in Lush Caves (So that they are renewable), and Petrified Oak slabs in Mineshafts
- Sand and Gravel have been added to sniffer diggable blocks
- Petrified Oak Slabs can be rarely found in Trail Ruins
- Torchflowers and Pitcher Plants drop 1 seed (+1 per level of fortune) when mined without silk touch
- Torchflowers give off temporary light when a player walks through them
- Pitcher Plants can consume hostile mobs that fall into it from the top (player size or smaller). They will slowly be digested inside the plant, and drop Experience and Loot as if they were killed by a player. Equipement is eaten by the Pitcher Plant, only 1 mob can be consumed at a time, and the mob will re-emerge if the plant is broken
Items and Blocks
- Rabbit Stew restores more than its base ingredients instead of less
- Any combination of Red/Brown Mushrooms can be used to make Mushroom Stew, and more can be added to increase Hunger/Saturation restored
- Water, Lava, Milk, and Powder Snow Buckets can stack to 4
- Jungle Saplings drop at the same rate as the rest
- Paintings will retain their variant when broken. Their variant can be changed by using a brush, and will cycle through paintings of the same size
- Leash Knots can be placed on Fences directly
- Copper Blocks can be used for Beacons. Only the regular block works and only up to exposed level of oxidation
- Copper Ingots can be used as Beacon payment
Recipes
- Prismarine Bricks are crafted using Prismarine Blocks in the same way as other bricks. Blocks can be stonecut into Bricks
- Anvils can be restored by being surrounded by 8 Iron Ingots
- Wooden Fences, Bottles, and Ladders give 4 instead of 3
- Fence Gates and crafting Pressure Plates gives 2 instead of 1
Stonecutter Consolidation
- All variants of stone, cobblestone, and stone bricks can be "cobbled" into regular cobblestone for inventory management
- Same applies for Deepslate variants and Cobbled Deepslate
- Blackstone variants can be turned into Blackstone, and Tuff variants into Tuff
- Stairs, Slabs, and Walls work as expected
- Sandstone/Red Sandstone can be cut back into sand, allowing it to be a compact way to store sand. Blocks and Walls become 4 sand, Stairs 3, and Slabs 2
A few settings can be toggled within a new Dialog menu. More settings will be added later
